I'm a software engineer and philomath based in San Francisco, CA.
I spent my career chasing a specific kind of problem: the ones where information meets the physical world and something has to happen fast, reliably, at scale. At Google, I work on real-time 3D telepresence and previously helped launch TPUs on GKE now powering frontier AI research. My path here wound through dispatch optimization at Postmates, supply chain data systems at Flexport, and ads infrastructure at Twitter.
I think engineering can have a beautiful quality to it. Building any system is an act of rebellion against entropy. As the universe trends towards heat death, the only dignified response is to not go gently into that good night. Even if we will ultimately lose to the inevitability of the Second Law of Thermodynamics, we can use technology to make our little pocket of order and complexity last longer and be more beautiful.
